So I installed a haltech and a set of 850cc injectors, but when I went to start the car it won't start. It looks like it's not getting any spark. I put the stock ecu back in and it runs, badly due to the bigger injectors, but it runs. Put the haltech back in and no go again. I noticed that it wasn't registering any rpm while cranking. Any ideas?

I guess I should mention I have a Viper alarm system in the car. Not sure if it's the issue since I can still get the car to work on the factory ECU.

What else did you do other than just "install" the Haltech and 850cc injectors? There's a whole slew of processes you have to do to just get it going. BUilding out maps, etc.

The car is pretty much stock except for the injectors and fuel pump. I also redid the entire engine harness with Wire Specialties. I'm also using the base map that haltech supplies for the car. It's supposed to be a guaranteed start up

So I called haltech and they suggested because of the after market harness the cas might not be pinned right. How do I check that?

Whether its pinned correctly or not (CAS) you still have a fuel pump and injectors providing WAY too much flow for even the base map that Haltech provides. Keep in mind the base map is meant to just get her started, don't do any driving on it (maybe down the street to the shop next door).

We spent a solid hour building maps and redefining the parameters for injector settings since I also put in new injectors (1100cc). The base map is junk after modifying the injectors, i think stock are 480cc?

Ok, but we changed the flow rate to 840cc. Also we checked at the plugs and no spark

Is there a step by step instructions for checking the cas with an oscilloscope?

If your CAS is working with the stock ECU then it is pinned right. I highly doubt it's a CAS issue. Also, with the HALTEC installed, take the CAS off and spin it. You should hear your injectors fire.

Update: So finally Haltech sent me a B-Stock unit to swap out wit mine. The car almost ran with the B-Stock computer, figure it didn't completely run due to need of a tune, but it sounded like it wanted to run and I am now getting RPM's.

Had to be a bad box. They kept insisting otherwise, but that box just didn't work. They've now sent me a new V2 box and it works, however my tune didn't really transfer over so now I'm looking at paying for 2 tunes over the course of 2 months. Not really happy. This could of course just be a fluke since everyone else loves this computer

Another question. Haltech's website says the Platinum Pro works with factory MAF, but when I talked to a local certified tuner he told me Haltech only works with MAP sensor plus wideband. How has your been tuned?

It will work with the MAF's, given their unreliability I chose to have the car tuned with the map and o2. It will work with the MAF's though

Thanks for the information. I think unless I'm shooting for more than 400hp, I will just get Nistune instead.
