I had someone install the Eibachs on my car. Now I have a problem, every time I make a slow turn for example when I pull out of my driveway onto the street it makes a cracking sound. Has anyone else have had this problem when you installed your Eibachs?
The guy said something about it not being a problem. He said something about the spring twisting. I don't know some help will be really appreciated. Thanks!

I would search some eibach threads because I'm sure lots of people have to have heard this before. Post up some pictures too!

Just had mine installed last week... I hear of no such noise..... is it a cracking, popping or clicking sound? sound clip maybe?

Installed correctly there should be no sounds coming from the springs, OEMs or after market don't make noises. If your springs are twisting they are causing wear. I had a professional install mine 14 months ago.

I found some info about it saying the spring is not seated right. Some guys had the noise go away in a few days other had to sit the spring right. I'll put up some pics as soon as I wash it! It rained the other day and it looks pretty dirty.

I'd say it's a clicking noise. It's pretty annoying but the guy said nothing will happen to it. But I'm gonna check it myself and see what I can do. All I need is the spring clamp thing and time.. Otherwise I would have done it myself.

No, I didn't have the time. :frown: I had to come back to Japan. I took one last picture before I left. Didn't have time to do a nice little photo shoot sorry. And the noise is still kinda there. Hopefully nothing happens to it. Kinda worried about it cause my wife is driving it right now. It's just the front 2. I'm gonna try and figure something out.

It was in the shade 'cause it was like 108 degrees outside

While I'm sorry to hear that I don't think you have much to worry about. Seems like a pretty minor issue to me considering the amount of time the wheels are being turned enough to cause this rubbing.

I really am happy with how your coupe looks though! I will be installing eibachs within the next few weeks and I am really excited. Hopefully I can find a great deal on some rays too!

Yeah man I've gotten a few good compliments on the looks of my car! If you do get rays I'd say go with 235/40 or bigger on the front 'cause I had 225/35 and it didn't look good, the gap seemed to big for my taste. I went with 245/40 front and 235/40 rear. Here's a before and after pic. I'll try and get my wife to take other good pictures from different angles.

Next mod I'm gonna look for a Nismo Catback exhaust. But this will be sometime February '13 when I get back to the states!

Check your springs to see if they're installed correctly. When I had installed mine years ago, I had found out that the front springs actually sit with the eibach logo backwards. I've read other members having this same issue including on my own. Car. Didn't bother me much so I left it as is
