Are these double din units hard to install w/ the nav? Also how different would the trim kit from Clutchfield be than the OEM one? Sorry for the dumb questions. Need to start somewhere. Thinking about picking up the DNX5220 from Clutchfield. There seem to be some good deals right before the new 09 Kenwood stuff is coming out.
no, not hard to install.. i have a write up here that should help when installing in aftermarket double din setup

aftermarket double din setups don't have the texture of the factory duble din deck, but the factory double din is ONLY available in versions with the MANUAL climate control

My PAC kit hasn't shown yet so I a torn on whether to start the install yet or not. I wanted to surprise my wife with it installed before the 14th.

If the PAC adapter would show up I could start the install. I got the factory wiring harness adapers locally so I am ready when the PAC gets here. I ending up buying the 5120 from Amazon when it had come back down to $529 but Sunday it was at $489 so I sent an email and they are crediting back $40 so I am coming out at $670 total for the DNX5120, BT200 Bluetooth kit, PAC steering wheel kit, wiring kit, and factory double-din dash panel.

Any Nissan dealer can get it. Mine was $21 at the dealer. It is actually from a non-nav Altima, not the Coupe, but the fit is perfect.

I have a 2007 Nissan Altima with the manual climate controls, as seen in your pic. I just bought a 7" in-dash navigation screen and wanted my dash kit to match the rest of my dash. It looks like from the picture that you have the piece that I need. I was curious where you were able to buy that piece? Thanks

No, remove the brackets from the factory radio and trim piece and use them on the new trim piece and radio. You also have to move the AC controls over.

Factory Bose w/o Nav

I've just posted this same question on another thread. Has anyone tried using a dremel to merge the OEM double din opening (top) with the Auto climate control opening (bottom). The only other option is to get the OEM dash for the factory Nav which has a 1/4" space on either side which doesn't look as good. I'm going to give it a try but I'd love to hear if its been previously attempted.
