installed disco potato t28 turbo into my car and it has an adjustable internal waste gate. first time i boosed i hit 22 psi of boost so i adjusted the arm so the there is no tension on thespring in the pod and reconected the i now hit about 16-17 not full throttle dont want it to spike to high again. what can i do to run around 12 psi of boost have the greddy boost controller and that doesnt seem to regulate the boost so i turned it off.

The original adjustable wastegae actuator on there shouldn't even allow you to boost above 14 psi. After 14 psi, the spring should be fully compressed, completely closing the wastegate, if that makes sense to you. Boost will just keep rising if the waste gate isn't opening up. If that's not the case, then you might not have the original wastegate actuator on your turbo. You might have one designed for higher boost levels with a stiffer spring inside the wg actuator. If you want to boost lower, you'll need another wg actuator ie HKS wga that allows you to boost up to 14 psi.
