Alright so I installed a CAI on my 1992 240sx KA24DE, and now it refuses to idle after it warms up and runs for a little bit. The K&A filter rests in the front bumper in front of the drivers side wheel well. And the MAF is attached to the Filter. I haven't done any mods other than just changing the piping to a CAI.

So today I disconnected the filter and ran a smoke machine on it. Here is what I found. The PAIRC valve is stuck open and leaks air while the car isn't running. I dont know if it is supposed to be open when the car is off but it is.

Other than that, there were no other leaks, the intake system held pressure well. I'm kind of stumped here. What should I check?

What CAI are you running - custom or Injen? I ask because the Injen one, you leave the MAF in the stock location (not the wheel well).

Did you cut and extend the MAF wiring to get it to reach the wheel well?

Easiest thing to do for now would be to undo the CAI, plug everything back in, and see if you still have the same problem.

A quick picture of your setup might help.

Runs fine when cold? Could very well be something unrelated.
