Installed AAi-NIS2 but having trouble getting to work right.....

Installed ipod interface without a problem but when i tested it out the radio was still playing in the background. and the radio was controlled by the radio volume but the ipod only would go as loud as the ipod volume could go. if i turned the volume way down and the ipod way up then i can hear it but it doesnt get very loud. i was thinkin maybe i had some stuff hooked up wrong but the installation is pretty straight forward. so if anyone has experience with PAC audio installation i would greatly appreciate your input.....or anyones for that matter.

Maybe the yellow and blue wires have something to do with it?? right now they aren't hooked up at all. i was going to see for sure where you hook those up. does anyone have an idea??
