Happy days are here!

Last night my friend and I installed my A'pex N1 Dual Catback and all I am left to say is WOW. Everything about this exhaust is great. Looks great, fit perfectly, and, according to my butt dyno, added a little something up top, LOL.

But what's best about it is how the car now SOUNDS. I'm going to try and get a sound clip together for you all to hear, but let me just say it SINGS from 4000 RPM all the way to redline. Under overpasses and through tunnels, this thing is SWEET.

And by sweet, I mean totally awesome.

Current setup: Injen Intake -> KA24DE -> Hotshot Header -> 2.25 in collector -> stock cat -> A'pex N1 Dual Catback

I'm planning on installing an A'pex ECV and a test pipe at the same time, so that should just about finish up the exhaust system. I'll post up when that goes through.

test pipe = utterly useless deletion of worthwhile emissions equipment. Why you would want to put something on your car that will make it louder, pollute more, and lose torque is beyond my simple brain's comprehension. Turbocharged applications are a totally different story.

Sweet dual N1's though, I had them too back when I had my KA, definatly makes the experience more visciral.

Visciral. That has to be the best word in the dictionary to describe the ride now. Thanks, man.

Good point on the testpipe... I did a little research and found that Nissan stock cats to flow relatively well. I guess that money I can save.

Indeed wang, long time no see. I'm on Spring Break now so I'll be looking for you on IM.

Yeah, one of my buddies saw it and liked it so much that he went down to A'pexi's Garage Sale and grabbed one for himself. LOL. Thanks for the help with this thing.

How much exactly? Well, I'm not comfortable saying. LOL.

Friend of mine had the N1 Duals on his 94 Prelude 4ws and it sounded really good. It also gave him more of a bump in power then my other friend's 95 Prelude SE with a bullet single exhaust.

I remember back in the day when the N1 and N1 dual were all the rage here on NICO. Man that was a long as$ time ago.

Everyone wanted 3" duals because of looks and sound.

Nice pics you have. any larger ones perhaps?

I didn't think A'pex made N1 Duals for the Prelude. Last I checked, they're only available for the S13, S14, FC and FD. Oh well, good for your friend!

Just let me know, I'm sure we can work something out. And trust me, it's not THAT far... LOL. Hit me up on IM. I'll be on this evening.

I must not have been on then. I guess I can understand why that was. Mine aren't 3" though. From the cat to the Y-pipe, it's a 2.5" inch pipe, and from the Y to the canisters, both are 2" pipes. I think 3" might be a little overkill.

I have bigger pics, but I just didn't want to cause too much lag. I'll post later if there's still interest in them.

The N1 duals were way to agressive on my N/A KA. But my KA-T they are perfect. I hate how heavy the exhaust is and how in gets in the way sometimes due to the size.

For being what it is, it's not as heavy as I expected it to be. Heavy, yes, but I think it could be heavier, too. As far as being well-matched to the KA-T, I believe it. I went with a more aggresive exhaust on the KA because I have plans to go turbo, be it through CA swap or KA build. It sounds great now, but once I get some boost in the mix, I'm glad it'll sound even better.

Getting in the way? What do you mean? Clearance? I know a few people have had clearance issues with it, but so far I've been lucky.

wangless, I was on for a few hours between 6-10. I'll be on late tonight. Work in the AM. Boo on that.

also with the clearance thing id assume it wouldnt be ground clearance, it seems to be much better from that standpoint than a big single would be

This is what the Apexi N1 single exhaust sounds like on my car.
