engine service light is usually for oil changes... could be a coincidence right after ur install

just click thru ur service hting on ur dash cluster computer and reset the reminder, or turn it off

What

The SES light is not the service reminder on the display. SES (service engine soon) Is a light triggered by different fault codes throughout the car computer systems.

That would most definitley be the reason why. Unplug your battery for 5 min, then reconnect it, and start up your car. You should be good to go from there

Also, after you unplug your battery, you will need to reset your auto window feature.

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.2. Open the window more than halfway byoperating the power window switch.3. Pull the power window switch up, and hold it toclose the window. Then hold the switch 3 seconds more seconds, after the window is closed.4. Release the power window switch. Operatethe window by the automatic function toconfirm the initialization is complete.5. Perform steps 2 through 4 above for otherwindows.

Thank you so much for sharing the auto window reset. I recently put an optima red top in my Alt and the window wouldn't go up automatically. It does now!

I'm surprised you've never heard of optima batteries...they're simply better than factory batteries. way more reserve power and cranking power. and they last twice as long or more than a standard battery. my interior lights and headlights don't ***** as much when i have the system pounding. the only thing that sucked on the install is i had to change the battery terminals on the car. you should check them out!

Not a problem. I even put a red top in my 87 camaro, theres no system, the reliability is nice and the alternator doesn't have to work as hard.
