Hello,

I have a new timing chain from courtesynissan.com and it has 2 yellow links, and 1 black link. The cam gears each have 1 dot on them. What do I need to line up? The dots form a V to the bottom gear? What do I line up the colored links to? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

its basically the same as the SOHC. line up dots in sprockets with colored links. one link per dot.the yellow links are probaly for the cams . those two are closer together right?on my kit (SOHC) i had shinny links. it should be simple and plain now.hope its up and runninsoon.by the way did you get the whole kit or just chain?

I just did mine about a month ago. the 2 same colored links line up with the cam sprocket dots, the black link lines up with the dot on the bottom sprocket that is in front of the bigger sprocket that has the lower chain on it. they all need to be pointing a certain way for it to go on right. you may have to move the cams slightly to get them to line up.
