My husband just bought me an XM radio xpress for Christmas, I have no idea how to hook the thing up. I took the antenna off the roof and tried to attach the smart connector to it, wouldn't fit. Now what?? I am really anxious to use my present but want to do it without tearing up my car and the radio. Any help would be great!!!

Happy Holidays and welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have you here in the Murano Forum! I have a quick question for you, do you have a "SAT" button on the dash of your Murano?

My 03 has the SAT button and I was also curious how to hook up the Sirius radio. My other car has a jack on the front of it. Thanks in advance for any help.Jim

Hello Jim, welcome to NICOclub, glad to have you here in the Murano Forum!

I sure wish I was in Florida golfing right now, that would surely beat the 30+ inches of snow we have received here in Green Bay!

You can actually purchase a Nissan factory tuner that would function right through your existing head unit. I did this very same thing when I previously owned an '03 Murano. The only question is whether or not you have the "pre-wire" cable already installed in your Murano (chances are, you don't). This cable runs from the head unit to just above the spare tire in your Murano. Near the spare tire is where you would mount your Sirius or XM receiver. You would then mount your Sat. antenna and plug that into the receiver. Sounds like a lot, but it is pretty easy to do, and it is awesome having a totally factory Satellite radio system. It performs well, and sounds amazing. If you don't have the pre-wire, I think you are looking around $350 to get the factory Satellite radio up and running. Let me know if you need any help, I know where you can get everything you need.
