all depends on if you have the right tools, and you are mechanically inclined.... an air gun is really really preferred.

Some people said it took almost 8-10 hours... while others (myself included) did it with help in ~3.5 hours

why DIY when you possibly can hurt yourself like Phenom did lol . You should instead look for a good shop with a decent price to install your eibach + alignment.

taking out the struts is maybe only 30 mins of work. Taking the springs off the struts.... honestly god knows how long that'll take you. I put on eibachs with a friend and in retrospect, I should of just went to a shop. It was an all-day job and very frustrating / tiring.... not to mention dangerous, I mean the thing with phenom is funny and all but it could of been a lot worst for someone else.... Take it to a shop, it's worth the $150 they will charge you.

I disagree, don't take it to a shop. DIY! So many people here don't have a lot of mechanical experience and this is a good project for them to get their feet wet. The install may be tedious but it doesn't require exotic tools or knowledge and is actually pretty easy once you get over the scale of it. Just be patient, follow the instructions and torque everything correctly. You can even split up the job and do fronts and backs on separate days if you are worried about time.

I vote for shop. Most people don't have spring compressors. Few have floor jacks. Even fewer have torque wrenches.

In addition, you'll need an alignment afterwards.

I got the suspension on my I30 swapped for $60 at a local shop. Another $60 would have covered the alignment.

Glad you did it yourself. It is actually not that hard. I install my coilover myself which is much easier to do but installing springs is the same way with a few extra steps in between.

Have any pictures of the new stance?

When you do the install do the Rear one first because its easier and will give you more time to do the front. If you have all the right tools (deep socket and a breaker bar) you should be able to do the fronts in no time. If you are fast with a helping hand you can get the front done in 2.5-3 hours.

blackteam02,

Make sure after the spring settle in you go back and re-tighten all the bolts, just in case.

Any auto parts store will rent out a spring compressor. A lot offer this free with a refundable safety deposit.

you mean TRIM the bump stop. after you take the struts off, the bump stop is inside the black slinky looking plastic boot.just pull out the WHITE'ish bump stop and trim 25mm.we used a razor.

remember only the front requires bump stop trimming.
