With my CTS I patched it in to the power supply for the rearview mirror. Anyone done something similar with a radar in their G?

TIA
M

Like I've said before, I love my cordless Escort. I can put it wherever I want it. In my G I had it mounted above the rearview mirror. It was totally out of sight from outside the car.

StealthCords makes a cable for the G. It's about 5" long and connects into the homelink mirror plug.

if the detector is under $300 its probably a POS...

ive had my Valentine One since 2008 and it has never missed an officer using radar or Lazer. With that said, I have gotten a couple of close range tickets from lazer, but that cant be advoided with a radar/lazer detector, you need lazer jamming to defeat lazer. I have never gotton a radar ticket since i brought my Valentine One.

I highy recommend the Valentine ONE, it doesnt have all the fancy features of an high end excort detector for the same price or more. But it has superior range and the only detector to tell you what direction the radar is coming from.

they do not whole sale, so if you get it from anyother website it will be more than $399 http://valentineone.com/

take a look :naughty:

No, the V1 in general does not have superior range over the top Bel or Escort models. My problem with V1's is they still look like they came out of the 80's, they are very chatty (lots of false alerts), they are heavy, and they are one of the most expensive. Likes? They are one of the top detectors and the arrows can be helpful.

Finally got mine installed in my Z. Had to use Velcro because of those black dots on the windshield, the suction cups wouldn't stick to the glass. I think it is a very clean install. Can't see it at all from outside the car.

Do you think those black dots are going to affect my reception at all?

I wish I knew a cop with a good sense of humor that would let me play with his radar gun. :naughty:

I'm sure it's not helping matters any. :gotme

I know window tint can diminish distance somewhat.

I usually play catch-up with Radar Roy along with other online publications every few years concerning radar improvements as I travel so much. Seems Valentine may have improved their units but they still look 80's retro. I am sorta interested in the Escort Redline at this point. I've had great success with BEL products it's hard to swap over to another brand.

Mine is slightly lower but I'm not using the StealthCord yet. Maybe I'll set that up this weekend.
