i will most likely be installing fogs either in the spring or early summer. I figured since I'll have the front end off, maybe do 2 things whil I'm in there. I was thinking of buying the PIAA ion crystal yellow and installing them behind the cmod. some questions for you guys.1) what do you think?2) Would the lights be blinding to oncoming drivers?3) I was thinking of mounting them to the top part of the front bumper where it latches to the front end....maybe drill there. what you think?

I am planning on wiring the fogs OEM with a new stalk and the piaa to a switch inside going through the glove box.

why even bother? unless you're going to have the stillen front fascia and in that case you wouldnt need the Cmod grill in the first place. everyone has their own opinion and when it comes down to it, all that matters is what YOU like/want. why have head lights, fog lights, lights behind grill. damn, when I had just HIDs in my headlights I had a couple ppl flash me because they thought my lights were too bright. the MOST I'd do is HIDs in the headlights and HIDs in the fog lights. anything else and its just too bright and will most likely get you pulled over.

IMO i think it'll look stupid. Fog lights are meant to be mounted close to the ground. Mounting them higher would only defeat its purpose and heightening your chance to get pulled over. But hey, it's your car bro, you can do whatever you like.

i am doing some research now because I am considering getting piaa smaller lamps as my fogs. The smallest ion crystal they have is the 510 series in the round. but they will be to big. I was thinking of mounting them in front of the fog light wholes but I have to measure to make sure it won;t look stupid and that it can be done. I'm looking into some teardrop ones or projector ones but they are hard to find.

i like the prism effect the piaa lamps give off. they are blueish from far, white from mid range, and yellow from close.

thats what i thought but this came to mind:

just make sure you aim them right. i always see trucks arond here who like to ride with their blue HIDs on AAAAALLLLLLLLLL day and their fogs are just blinding. just aim them right!

I kind of got the idea from seeing the mustangs. Also I recently saw the piaa lamps on a truck by my house. They looked awesome and weren't blinding. I like the color change effect too.

I'm now leaning towards getting OEM fogs with 3000K HID's and the piaa 510 series behind the cmod grill. I will make sure to aim them correctly. Even if its an epic fail I could always remove them lol. Just want to try something different. I dont like the see-through factor of the cmod.

I don't want to paint the grill or the radiator. I also considered putting the hella supertones in there. Also debating painting the cover of the PIAA Lamp covers red to add some contrast.

haha dude this must me a southern thing. I'm in OK and I think there is a 10 to 1 ratio of chevy 1500s to ppl in my town lmao, and EVERY one of them look exactly the SAME.

They have 2 mods. 20"-24" wheels and like 10k Blue HIDs that they leave on ALL THE TIME. lol

yea it probably is. all chevy trucks i've noticed DO have the same mods. its like the mods consist of a drop, blue HIDs [god how i hate blue HIDs now], smoked tails of course, rims, and maybe a billet grill or a colored chevy symbol..... THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!!
