Well here it is. It took me a while to get it as I wanted it, but I’m happy with the results. Once again, I’d like to thank Shane for figuring out how to make the adapter. Sorry I don’t have any pictures of the install, but my wife went out of town with the digital camera. Here are the after pics. So removing the dash parts was a bit of a pain, but once RyanH showed me where to get the info, and I looked at my FSM, it was pretty strait forward. The thing that was a pain was getting to the arm rest box. I couldn’t get the seat heater a TCS buttons disconnected. They are very well sealed with plastic and foam. I guess to protect it from spills. All I could do was flip over the center consol to get to the 8 screws that holds the box. I also had to pinch 2 clips that hold the bezel for those buttons so I can sneak the cable under it. I also drilled a small hole in the corner of the box to make room for the cable and I drilled the hole for the button. I think that’s a good spot so nothing in the box hits the button accidentally. The adapter works great. Yea, the output is a little low, but I can live with it. I just have to remember to turn down the volume before I switch to the radio. Who needs radio now with the I-pod? I left enough slack in the cable so I can put the I-pod by the shifter. Now I’ve been using the remote that came with the I-pod so I don’t have to pull it out to use it. This is a great setup that now has me using my I-pod on a daily basis. I couldn’t be happier.
