install of a water temp gauge Help!!

thought i could install it in place of the factory one but its to big is there another hole I could put it in. btw its a autoguage

Get an adapter. The AutoGuage sending unit probably uses NPT thread pitch while the motor uses a JIS thread pitch.

I googled it and I didnt describe the problem correctly the hole isnt big enough for the gauge. is there any other holes that are bigger or something that I dont know about.
