actually you'd be surprised how many people now a days have dash-cams, and carputers, etc. almost every construction contractor, utilities van/truck, business owner, has a computer mounted in his or her pickup/SUV. if you are stopped and an officer asks what that is about- simply tell him: "it helps me conduct my business". he would really only be asking, think that you are some kind of police car/official. put it this way, out of every 20 cars, there will be 1 with a computer mounted in it.
there is nothing illegal about it. as long as you are not caught watching video while driving. otherwise, it can be used as a GPS, music player, etc(just like any other cd/dvd system)
