How to wire a push button start

After looking all over the web for a simple how to on this, and finding nothing that was broken down real simple like I decided I'd write a real simple like how to on this one.

Look at the back of your ignition switch there should be 4 wire coming out the back. You will need to cut one of the wires and splice into another one of the 4.

Cut the black wire with the yellow tracerRun the wire to one of the terminals on your starter buttonSplice into the White wire with the black tracerRun the spliced wire to the other side of your starter button

Replace my Light for the Push Button Switch. You just have to drill the hole open a little with a step down bit.

Looked @ the video... the way you wired it, you have to have the key in the "START" position AND press the "START" button? Seems a lil backwards, unless I'm missing something.

Most ppl who install it do it so they just have to put the key into the "ON" position, then they press the "START" button instead of turning the key.

Nice start button location, btw, I dig it.

I thought the exact same thing about the whole key to the START position thing. Doesn't it just completely make the push start button useless?

Bad you for double posting in the 240sx forum AND the 240 tech forum... 2 posts total and you have a link to specific sellers. Sounds like SPAM to me. Am I wrong?

Pics of my push button install. I took out the ignition switch though and installed it there... click the alarm, pop up two switches, and push the button.. vroom..... no key needed... i used a honda S2000 push button ignition (like $55 bucks at honda) and there are a few write-ups online telling you how to do it... two thumbs up from me...

This is on an altima i had...
