Anyone know how to replace #4 injector without removing intake manifold completly... Anyone have step by step instructions or help? Also i have been getting a noise from the alternator pulley...does it need replacement? Another thing i have been hearing a grinding noise i think when my car is shifting gears...maybe slippage or transmission going bad?

Qdog is the only one who's done it to my knowledge. You'll have to remove all the plenum bolts to raise it high enough to get access to the injector. Replace the 8 rubber donuts under the plenum. If the alt bearing is bad probably best to replace the entire thing, unless you can get someone to rebuild it (not replace it) for cheap. For the labor involved I'd sooner replace it with a factory rebuild and be confident it'll be good for a while. Make sure it's not the idler pulley bearing. Those are cheaper and easy to replace.

I did #6 by lifting the plenum. It was enough trouble that I recommend complete removal.

The hardest part is getting to the screws holding the injector cover piece. The screw are so easy to strip so you might want to try Jesda's idea of banging on an open ended wrench and then turning. Then you will more than likely destroy the injector when you are removing it. So have the replacement one on hand. Use some penetrating oil or something of that nature to remove it. By the way I did just take off all the plenum bolts and pry up the plenum with a wood block to hold up the plenum. You might want to take off the egr pipe to make it a little easier.
