Even tho this meet wasnt highly attended (6 folks some of time then reduced to 4) it was still an adventure.

Meet at the lot, hung out for a bi,t sadly one of our friends from an allied site, overheated his Impreza due to (what we all suspected) may have been a stuck T stat.

Were it got an adventure later on was when Bill in his S14 took us thru a run of some very curvy, evry empty, very hilly back roads tightly rimmed with trees later that evening.

The trees made every turn a blind one, every dip in the road covered up, what was next.

He knew the road and we were all trying to keep up and were successful, Still it was a hardcore drive and Joe ( with the busted car) was riding shotgn and knew the road and took the function of a navigator for me.

Shouting out over the NIN album, "Hard right", "sweeping left", "quarter mile straight", "easy right". "very hard switchback left/right!".

With his help, I was able to achieve some good 60-90 mph in this 15 to 35 mph road.

Later after we got back and were getting ready to head home, the cops rousted us on a parking lot.

I am used to the cops rollin up just checking us out and maybe asking a couple questions and then rolling on.

No such luck this time and we were detained for about 45 minutes, while he called several cars for back up.

Some of us were getting abit annoyed, myself included, but I suspetc they may have had break ins at that strip mall before..

In any case we were released after much questioning and weet on our way.

Fred..

I had an awesome time with the exception of the cops. That was kind-of interesting. Thanks again for letting me take the Z for a spin. I'll never forget that! And I'm glad you got your CD's back!

arrgh fred!! missed out on this one. Got your message late. We need a NICO batman type signal so everyone will know of these "insta-meets".

Still looking forward to the 29th though.
