I also released a CRAP TON of my tunes for free because well. Its about the music for me. A DJ messaged me and showed me an important vocal intro that made me want to give all of my tunes away.

I'll make more for future sales. Right now its meh.

This inspirational tune started from the ending of Zeitgiest.

I'll have to download some more of your tracks. So what made you want to give everything away for free?

Just did. The small label I got with Zero Digital is extremely shady and they decided to drop me because I'm asking questions as to why I'm not paid yet, why they're telling me they didnt meet quota when it said nowhere in the contract that I dont get paid if they dont meet quota. (this is on a release that charted top 10)

I'm constantly trying to get ahold of these people and never get responses. Then finally today one of the girls attacks me verbally and personally so I go back and let her know just how pathetic they are. Then she's like "oh well your dropped from the label we're taking your tracks off the sites"

I was just like ok. I dont care. Then the other label cobalt records is also very shady. They sent me a contract that said I had to get written permission to release any of my tracks. Not just the ones I was releasing with them. They wanted me to have to ask for written permission for ANY of my songs. I called him on it. He said ok and he'd send me a new contract. Never sent the new contract. AND the release came out already. Still no contract signed.

Talk about shady eh?

Thank god I'm with a new group called wish industry. They're very legit and keep up with communication weekly with phone calls. The way their label side works is I only have to do so many tracks a month for them. They are a production company. I give a monthly mix to them and they do podcasts and radios with them.

So I gave away all of the stuff I've done up to this point and will give away some more free tunes in the coming months. Because the way I see it is when wish wants me to do a release I'll focus everything into that single so that when its released its bomb.

Plus think of it from this perspective. I just gave away all my music. Tons of dj's will download it and play it. Then people will hear it and be like "whose that?" or "tracklist"?

Then there's my name.

I've only been producing legitimately for like a year. I'll be where I want to be by the end of my career. No rush is needed.

Sorry to hear about your poor business deals. Hopefully this new company is more professional and helps further your career...and maybe they'll get you some new monitors to mix with
