The only inspriation I see is for another job to afford a $15,000 build.

Then again thinking that engine and the KA have anything more in common other than the number of cylinders would be to deny reality.

Thats like telling a Hyundai owner his engine has every bit of potential to output as much power as an all-motor B18C5 engine.

I think maybe he was referring to the size of the 2 motors. ka's are 2.4 whereas that motor is 2.5.

Yeah, I was referring to the displacement. I really don't know much about the internal design of the BMW 4 cylinders. I should have typed more explanation but it was late and I was just thinking "OoO... pretty."

Mostly, it's just here because I'm a Bimmerphile.

Post a pic. Relativly high horsepower small discplacement engines are cool.

That was nonetheless, a gorgeous engine. I love e30 M3's to death. It's a shame they're so freakin expensive even w/ high miles.

You can do anything with enough Bills... anything nowadays... Feeling a NA 4bangers power is crazy too... it feels so much different than any car. I had a 4AGE built NA to about 170HP, and just that was enough to make me fall in love. I miss it, but its great. If youve never heard 4 ITBs scream before, you should give it a try sometime... very sexy.. very.

Oo! ITB's rock my socks off! I had the honor to check out this guy's B13 SE-R, the car had an SR20DET out of the Pulsar GTi-R. The guy broke axles all the time till he upgraded to stronger set. It was wicked sounding.

Yeah... I think that's a little steep too. If a person already had the block and accessaries it would be cheaper because turner sells the head and pistons and stuff. But like Skydragoness said E30 M3's are still overpriced.

it's an M roadster. i don't know why they did that though, the M engines are sweet. even the 240hp version was fast. he's probably going to have a lot more than 240 hp but you can get turbos for the stock engine that will kick it up near 400hp or so, about what the SR can handle. it's probably lighter though.

*Shrugs* Maybe he was able to obtain the engine for cheap. Plus the parts for the SR may be abit cheaper, I can't say for sure.

Actually that's just one of the 1.8/9's with M trim. Friggen slow cars from the factory and they really don't put out much horsepower with forced induction either. Only about 170 or so from what I've seen. My 2.5 Z3 does that stock.

Here's his original engine.
