hey just wondering what you guys do to clean the inside of your windshield? Some of my friends have told me that Windex+newspaper is a great combo, but I've tried that and it still leaves streaks..

I'm open to trying anything right now, the streaking I see on the windshield is starting to get real annoying..

cool...thanks for all the tips everybody..might be time to get a good microfiber cloth then I guess. Right now I only have one that's for glasses, think it might take awhile if I tried to use that to clean my windshield!

The only thing i use on glass is STONERS aerosol... I use it inside the house too (with proper ventilation) That stuff is like MAGIC!

Inside windows, outside windows.. it works like a CHAmP!

I also ONLY use NEWSPAPER to wipe it off with, thats what the "pros" do!

ok so I've been using windex with a microfiber cloth, and I can't seem to do it without leaving streak marks behind. I've tried using a squeegee type thing afterwards to clean it up, and also water to rinse off the windex afterwards, but both to no avail - major streak marks are still left behind! How do you guys do it without leaving these streak marks? I may go out and buy some of that invisible glass stuff...

your window is still dirty...wash it 2, 3 or 4 times (apply cleaner liberally, use plenty of clean cloths/towels) until you get it clean, then do your final streak free finish wash...you're trying to get it streak free and you still have dirt/smug on it...it aint gonna work...thats the most likely thing it would be.

make sure that your cloth is always clean...i know you're probably using a new one, but maybe it picked up something and is continually smearing it over your windshield. also, i use Invisible Glass.

I wish i could think of the name of the thing that I use...it is a triangle shaped head swivel attached to a pole about a foot long...it's wonderful and easy to use!

Stoner's Invisible Glass Reach & Clean Tool Kit.

I tried it, cost about $20 here at Wal-Mart. Honestly, it helps a little especially for the Rear Windows but IMO wasn't worth it.

Any foaming type of glass cleaner and newspaper. The ink in newspapers absorb dirt and oil like no other. The best thing you can do for your glass

The newsprint ink doesn't leave any streaks or residue? I would have expected the ink to dissolve and cause problems of its own.

thanks for the tips everybody...I ended up buying stoner's invisible glass, and used a microfiber cloth, applied it 2 or 3 times, and the streaks seem to be gone now. Gotta say, that stuff is definitely way better than windex!
