Got a little bit on this car today and thought I would share.Source= NNA employee directly
The Turbo's on this thing are part of the exhuast manifold and not a seperate unit so not easily upgraded.
Much of the car is constructed to prevent aftermarket tuning and pushing up the numbers.
There are no servicable parts in the cyl head. If a part of it fails the entire head must be replaced. This includes cam shafts, rockers and variable valve control components.
The transfer case has a hellatious whine at idle. This is normal for the car as it is the hydrolic pump running inside of it.
The real number of US production vehicles for the first year has been down graded to 1500 units ,BUT the option is open to shift during production from RH drive to LH drive on the line should the demand in the US be high enough for more, so buy up guys
The guy I spoke with plays a very technical role with nissan, has for many years. He is not on the repair side of it either, his role is more on the design side.
He also played a big part in the design of the 240 convertible top working with ASC,so that should give some indication of his time with nissan.
We didnt just discuss this car so we didnt get much more indepth about just this upcoming model but i wont bore you with any of the upcomming maxima specs or what the nissan forum is really going to be.
