Sorry if this topic has been addressed, but I am FREAKING put. Car dorve fine, I put it up on stands to put on my new wheels and tires and my HICAS rear sway bar. When I took the car down to drive it to the car wash, I turned on the car and this CRAZY clicking noise starts. I checked my oil and it is for some reason high (like the dip stick is really high up, over the H) Anyone have any ideas? I am terrified what the answer is gonna be...

BTW, I drove the car around and:1) The noise only happens below 3000 RPM2) There is no loss of power or acceleration

Well, it is more like a little over the H on the dip stick if that matters. It counds like a diesel running, if that helps.

Clogged pick-up maybe, causing it to starve on oil. ??

How do you fix that? And why is the sound ONLY below 3k RPM? I just pulled the valve cover and nothing looks out of place...

Well, I guess no one knows here. Any idea what a shop would charge to look at my timing cahin and fix it? That is where the sound is comming from...

Did some searching, and it sounds like the ol timing chain tensioner problem. I ordered some BG MOA and I will try heavier oil later in the week. We shall see if this helps. If anyone else knows what could be the problem, please let me know!
