soo.. ive VAGUELY talked to surman and dangeris about the idea of this-(a while ago really lol) literally me just throwing the idea out, and ive come to the conclusion that since i have a crapload of time on my hands, and near perfect weather to waste sum of this newfound free time, i want some of you to give me an input on some rear bumper ideas.

i love the stock, but i wanna add sum oomph to it, but not the meshy look with the ED rear.

i also dont want to do anything w/ 2 little rear paste on canards like w/ stillen.

AIT looks cool and sleek, i like the lines, but i want a lil more aggressive.

the razzi is... nty lol

I have a few used rear spare bumper covers tht my dealership is letting me test use, and i WILL be setting hand laid fiberglass with a particle resin. basically, my own real life cut and paste.

for any types of input, i'll take bumpers that are already out there, as well as HOPEFULLY photoshops of some things u'd like to see on the coupe, where mchedadi would hopefully come in

I WANT U GUYS TO KNOW IM NOT DOING THIS AS A SIDE GIG- im just doing this for me atm, and if ppl like it, i'll see what i can muster. it is a WORK IN PROCESS/PROGRESS and i only want input from ppl atm- for the next 5-8 days. i'll then draw up sum blueprints on cad and bust the one i like most out

some things to consider, stay w/ the curves, which are a FEW and not many on the back end, or go a lil boxy or square, should i go down and out or just down, cover the exhaust or open it up

this is what my bumper was on my 98 altima:

i know i cant go that sharp of an edge on the coupe, but its a start right? lol

time for u guys to help :D and thank you in advance :D :D

i think the coupes rear bumper is sexy the way it is. maybe a couple small changes to make it more aggressive... idk if i should say it but in the distant future i'm thinking about maybe changing the rear diffuser and putting quad exhaust. my friend has a E500 with a E63 AMG body kit on it and he got the C63 AMG rear diffuser and got it to fit his E class... i'm thinking about a C63 AMG rear diffuser and quad exhaust and calling it quits on the rear.

Sounds like a fun project, I definitely think the rear needs a little help to keep up with the rest of the car but I can't really point anything out in particular.

Extreme Dimensions has a pretty nice rear lip kit for the 350z that I think could kick start some ideas, my internet is being funky right now so I can't get the picture to upload but I will try again tomorrow or later on today

Sorry it's not by Extreme Dimensions after all. That rear did look pretty good though. This is what I was talking about, it's kind of a mix between Stillen's corners and AIT I would think.

I don't know just a pic for an idea...

lol mchedadi - thts a lil TOO drastic.. it works for the renault, but not our coupe lmfao

be a lil more realistic pls bro :P

that z is nice but imo- i dnt want tiny lil spirals here an there, i like the bottom, but a lil more aggressive topwise maybe?

This rear kind of reminds me of the new Volvo C30 hatch coupe thing.

did you ever try to see if the 350z rear kit would be easier to custom fit to the altima coupe than a g35 rear kit? also the rear of the altima coupe is the best thing about the car so if I were you, i wouldnt go too aggressive.

haha- this thread is back from the dead :]

and as far as the bumper is coming- lets just say if ur goin to Carlisle next year, u'll c it :]

i still need to get it painted- but so far its actually quite stocky lol- i elongated the frills in the inner 'black' for the exhaust and it all matches 2.5 inches downwards to fit. curvature is equal and ive been sanding for the past like- month lol im in the process of adding tiny flares midway threw the bumper like the ED one- just to give it a small extra angle.

thank you all for your support :D

lately tho i hvnt been able to work on it just cus of the weather- it needs to be above 40 for me to go out to my shed and start workin on this again lol i dnt want f.glass dust all over my jackets haha

I'll keep all of you guys updated come spring :P and i'll probly add summore stuff here :P

like this-

and thats an old pic lol btw lol :P but it gets the point across-

i redid the bottom - no more waves or anything - sanding is pretty done - but like i said in the beginning- i didnt want to go as extreme as the ed rear, and i didnt want to totally swap out the old bumper cus honestly- i like it too :D

so i kept it all and basically just did a small 'lip job' but still adding more subtle things
