KA24E, Automatic, 1990, bone stock except short ram intake.

Issue:

Throttle is pressed a quarter of the way. If I go beyond a quarter, car begins to die out.

Unplugging the negative terminal for a couple minutes then putting back on resolves the issue. Eventually the issue comes back after driving 30 miles. Sometimes I notice the issue reoccurring at 4,000 RPMS where it stay at 4k rpms and wont go higher. Then, the car will die out if I go near 3k rpms.

At Netural/Park, the car can rev high with no issue.

Current conclusions:

TPS is good (no dead spots or high spikes, .46 volts at closed throttle and 4.20 at WOT), have fuel pressure, spark, CTS is new, NO ECU CODES (55 checks no malfunctions). Injectors all work.I recently did a wire tuck and I didnt pinch any of the wires when tucking.

I'm leaning more towards a MAF that is going bad. I want other people's input on this. Let me know and thanks in advance.

sounds like the maf man....the fsm has a testing section for your sensors...test it out and get back to us...fyi...sometimes the maf will melt out some solder under the little black cover..ive fixed a few by just re soldering it ..and sometimes they corode out too..but test first before you pop that cover off..good luck
