I found a '98 Q45 (not a T) for sale by a private owner.

Here are the specs:

- 1 owner - Automatic - Black with tan leather - Sunroof - wood trims - 131 k Highway miles(driven from st.louis to kansas city) - Good Tires and Brakes - never been in any accidents - did tune-ups and oil changes

He is asking $6,495. He wont go lower than $6,300.

Is this a good deal? Im going to look at it tonight. It has been owned by a doctor and then a med student.

Appreciate your inputs.

Thanks, Omar

And it's service history says? The fluids look like? The tires are? The Infiniti senior technician's inspection revealed?

That sounds like a good buy even if the service history is a little foggy. If it drives out nice and is in clean condition, I would snap up on it. I know from plenty of experience.

To put into perspective, I paid about 16k for a 98 black on tan, but about half the miles (75k) and near complete service history, from the Infiniti dealer that originally sold it. It has almost 90k now, a little over a year since I got it. I looked on intellichoce.com and KBB lately, both give retail values above 15k. Auto-trader actual used cars around here are all about 13-16k.

Well here's my story!I paid 8400 for a 97 Q45 with 108K miles on it. So far I have spent well over $1K(MAF,KS, Turbine rev sensor, rear struts, tension rods, spark plugs) on parts to make it run better! That amount doesn't include tires, battery and lubricants and filters.I knew what I was getting into even with a pretty complete repair history on hands (form local Infiniti dealership).

Its probably not a bad buy.. you can buy cheap and then expect to pay up to (for instance) what Falk paid for his...

Theres no shortcuts, if you buy cheap theres a reason its cheap.. if you dont want to deal with crap then get a more expensive one.
