I want to add a transmission cooler and I think I found the perfect one- 5"x8"- oil cooler out of Hyundai Santa Fe. Whatcha all think? This is a similar model:

P.S. On a business trip, I got an Impala. I sure would like my J to accelerate like that!!! CPU re-programming ($600) is the only option correct? I think a small block Chevy with a 700R might fit!

Anything is better than nothing

The B&M rig I bought has the thermal bypass. Not sure if that one does ??

Basically routes the fluid straight across the top tank until it gets to operational temp.Handy in the winter months.

Because of where you live, a transmission cooler is a smart idea. I've noticed over the years that J's that reside in warmer climates have transmission that don't last as long as the J's in more northern climates.

Way to go.I always thought a 406 with 6 inch rods would be special.

I have funky thoughts like making my 58 chevy a nissan and put a 3.5. in the chevy, lol.what the heck,my J is heavier than my 58.58 wouldnt be to fun though then, lol.I wwish i could have all my thoughts at once instead of constantly editing, lol.
