on a 96 Q -

Any tricks up ahead ?

Looks like

Remove boot and measure/markRemove Outer tie rodSlide the seal up prying the "4 tined stop" off of the threaded end slip wrench on flats and turn off ?

Is it this simple or will we be getting into a can of worms here ?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Haven't done that one yet... do you have a specific problem you're chasing, or just preventive maintenence? How many miles on your Q?

Two shops (one referred by Jerry Tucker !) w/expertise in a Q's suspension, have said the inners need some TLC - I see no movement on the control arms, but who am I to argue - the parts are cheap enough from Joe - The subframe will be reset as part of the work so we are talking about MAJOR realignment here, by some experts that, hopefully, know just what is needed to "bring her on home" !

Everything else checks out (w/replaced tension bushings & upper links) so I wanted to take her in for the alignment w/the inners replaced by yours truly instead of shelling out the green -

lo 80's on the milage -

NEVER MIND - just found instruction #17 on ST21 - answered the question regarding the staked lock plate -

Thnx to all who reviewed

TIA
