Inner Tie Rod Question

I just had the tie rod replaced and the mechanic was going to stop by and replace the bellows he forgot to tomorrow. Forgetting there was a tear in the bellows, I ended up taking it to a car wash and de-greasing the engine and front axel.

I probably sprayed water into the boot. Did I just ruin the tie rod?
