My experience is purely estetics, and ease of installation, but I say in-tank is the way to go.

1: external pump is noisier, and depending where located prone to dirt, dry-rotted fuel line, etc.2: Depending on where it's mounted- you have to look at (doesn't do anything for clean- uncluttered undercarriages, or engine bays.3: must run new wires (pain, and again- not very neat)4: in-tank is direct install, and performs as well if not better.

240sx sub-forum, but I will chime in. I like inline pumps. Larger selection for HP goals, easier access. plus I like not having 12 volts in my gas,

Cons are the noise. Dry rot is not an issue, its not seeing sun. Just amorall the lines. I run an inline mounted behind my fuel cell.

so i could just leave my stock pump in my gas tank and mount and wire up the inline one?it worked fine on the g35 and he was making around 350whp.im only going for 250

either way im just trying to save some money.if i dont have to buy a new intank one.. i wont.

250? You should be close to that or at that. Some tuning, Nismo Cams, Injectors, and a intake manifold should get you over 300WHP on that. Is it a DE or HR?

an inline walboro can handle much higher pressures than an intank pump, inline pumps are good for fmu set-ups since they raise fuel pressure based upon boost.
