InJen with K&N

Where do I get the K&N filter to slap on the InJen? I think they are probably all standardized for their intakes, but anyone knows what i have to look for on websites?

I think they sell cone K&N filters at Advanced or Autozone.

My intake whispers and makes a shhhhhhhhh noise during idle and while i am driving it. should i replace the filter with a k&n i dont think it sounds right.

why is the car making so much noise when it idles?

what kind of intake is it?I heard it's quite normal if it's the stillen or JWT, since it gets rid of all thenoise dampening in the stock airbox. Engine noise comes out on both sides,not only the exhaust ^^. That's why I ordered the InJen and hope it doesn't make the same noice, since the suction should be way in front of the engine.Anyone else could tell me if the InJen is horribly loud while idling?

I dont know maybe i installed something wrong it makes a terrible noise. i have RD1925P. I know that its supposed to roar when i hit the gas but it just doesn't sound right when it idles. I will try to record a sound and post it.

i have a injen and have no problems with it... and i have replaced the filter with the k&n cone filter and no change...and mine only whistles when i accelerate...

McSteve, make sure you have the right diameter cone. K&N, Injen make various size cone filters and intakes, so make sure you get the right size. Other than that, fitment should be no problemo!

As for the noise the intake makes. At idle, all you should hear is air being sucked in, kind of a ssshhhhh sound (if that made any sense to you). I hear, with my Injen, a lil whistle at a certain point in my rpm's, around 1500, it gets a short, higher pitched whistle when I give it a lil gas, and when I take my foot off the gas, it does the exact opposite. It's a great sound, but when you really gas it is when you really bring the noise!
