i took the lower pipe off injen and turned it to a wai... it looks better didnt notice anything different. I kind of damaged the filter when i was taking it off the space was too small and i didnt feel like removing the battery. I might buy some other filter this week or so. any suggestions on a filter?

I'm not sure that that's a great idea. It appears as though you have placed the actual air intake nearer to the area where the fans will be blowing hot exchange air (up high and blowing onto the exhaust manifold and engine). The thing with the WAI's that go in the area behind the battery, I think they would actually take in cooler temp air than at the location you have yours. I admit I have no technical data to support my position...it's just my 2 cents. I do know that years ago when I switched from a Frankencar intake to my Injen, I set two personal best times in the 1/8th mile. I never went back to the track after that, so I can't say for sure if it was the intake, weather, luck, etc.

I am never going back to the CAI setup. The car doesn't vibrate Like it used to in CAI. And the wai does not suck hot air when the car is moving only when it idles. The response in lower rpms seems to be better too.

the reason the response is better at lower rpms is b/c the air has less distance to travel up the piping to the IM(intake manifold)...therefor, the car has to work less right from the start.

i'm going to be installing the Cattman CAI with an AEM Dry Filter. Reason being i do not like the Oil filters...I feel that Injen's, K&N, Cattman, & Stillen's Oil filters do not trap enough of the smaller particles. shine a light through your filter you will see all the small pinholes.

Good call, lightsout. That is what I went to just before my accident; way better setup vs the Injen.
