The link posted in one of the sticky posts to the short ram intake...... Just to confirm, it is a short ram intake and not a cold air as their website incorrectly states, correct? Sorry if this is a repeat question.

Also, short ram is pretty much a bad idea if it ever rains/snows considerably, right? Because it can potentially sucks up the water which then screws up the engine? That's my basic view of it anyhow.

hmmmm hopefully there will be some better performance parts for the coupe soon :]

I think you are wrong, its the cold air intake which has more of a percentage of sucking in water. The short ram most likely wouldnt suck in any water. Plus, they tested that a car need to be submerge in water for it to suck in large amount which will damage the engine. Meaning you accidently drive your car into a large enough pond or a lake or something of that sort.

Yes, the INJEN is a short ram and no, it will not suck in water. It's mounted way up top near the throttle body so there's no way water could get into it. Well, maybe if you drive in 5 feet of water

i love the way the injen short ram sounds. i just ordered a fujita short ram intake for my 2.5 so im just hoping i get a similar sound because the injen sounds perfect. theyre probably the same product since the former owner of injen is the one that started fujita. i was gonna get the injen but i found the fujita on ebay and talked it down from $180 to $150 w/ free shipping. too cheap to pass up

Will that fit in the coupe?

Sorry to say, but it's not going to sound the same. That particular sound on the vids is from the 3.5 motor. Displacement has a lot to do with how your car will sound. You know those little 1.5 liter Civics with intakes and soda can mufflers, they try to make their cars sound aggressive but they can't because the motor is too small. The 2.5 will sound nice with an intake, but it's not going to have that low rumble like the G35 and 350Z.

Generic...I don't know about that... My last car was a 1995 Nissan 200sx with the GA16DE motor. That 1.6L engine sounded fantastic with an injen short ram intake and a stromung catback exhaust. I think it's the cheap farty mufflers the civic owners use that make their cars sound laughable. But if/when they come out with a nice catback for the A/C, I think that plus a short ram will give the 2.5 a nice deep tone.

Oh definitely it'll sound much better than stock, no doubt about it. But what I'm saying is that it will not sound like the G. There's no way it could because that sound is all motor. But it will sound great with the INJEN.

i know my 2.5 will not sound like a G after the intake i was actually just talking about the awesome suction sound the injen makes. here is a video of a 2.5 with a custom short ram that i think sounds pretty good. http://youtube.com/watch?v=123tPCZnH7cas long as my fujita hits notes like that i wont be disappointed at all but i wish these idiots would stop making claims that short rams take in too much heat to make performance gains...do people really think the air in the engine bay stays hot even while in motion??? -_-;

^^^ DONT buy from that guy. Look at his feedback. Several times not shipping the item when people won an auction! Wow.

Also, that system is for a different generation Altima. He labeled it wrong. Another red flag
