if it looks like its right and its the same material... i think it will be just fine.. but if it were me...i'd probably tell the guy to cram it and get my money back.... i'd rather spend the money for better quality... as for the guy sayin it sucks up water.... ANY cold air intake has the potential to suck up water. just take it easy through puddles and dont go through deep puddles and you will be fine.

you can try it out for a week or so. if the guy has a return policy definitly keep that in mind... i would take it back right away and get a better one... i think.. lol. honestly if it looks like its right and mounts like you want it in your car, then try it out. but i would most likely take it back. .. sorry. good things dont come cheap..thats the story of my life. lol

or you can ask to get the original bottom half of the intake and keep it.

What's the difference? Is it shorter?

IMHO, the most important thing is the type of filter it has. The piping should all be pretty much the same as long as it's not some cheap, weak type of metal. Most Aftermarket Intakes, however, are made of good quality Aluminum. Regardless of whether they are $50 or $300 intakes ...

i would take it back on principle. if he didn't tell you about it in the first place you can't trust anything he says.
