got my intake put on today but i have a question. Did anyone have a small black hose left over after the install?? My friend who did the install for me couldnt figure out where/what it was for and couldnt remember if he took it off of the original intake or not. Its just a small hose thats not attatched to anything and he came to the conclusion that it must be for over flow??(what ever that means). I don't know how to post pics up here so here it is http://www.flickr.com/ojhendrix. its the hose in the dead center.

ohh thats supposed to be pointing down at all times. if the stock intake was still there it would seem like if its being held upwards. i have no idea wats the purpose for it but i was told its supposed to be right next to the intake and it does not connect to anything

Bro I have the problem with you when I installed my k&n filter a few weeks ago. I have a 3.5 motor with 6 spd trans and no one seems to know about it. I did notice on the repair manual that's posted on here in the transmission and transaxle portion of it. It's called an air breather hose. It's on page tm-24 of the .PDF file. I messaged k&n an still no word about it man. I just added a small filter in the mean time. I'll let you know once I hear back from them.
