I'm about to buy the injen intake for my 3.5 and i was wondering is the install hard if you've basically never worked on a car before? i just don't want to pay for someone to install it because i only have enough for the intake alone

If you have basic knowledge on how to use socket wrenches and could put a puzzle together, you're good to go. It's straight forward, easy. Just be careful with the MAF sensor. Do not get it dirty or wet. Shouldn't take you long at all.

Yeah, intake and strut bar are easiest IMO since you don't have to get "under" the car which can be an issue.

Are those instructions basically the same as the ones that come with the intake?

I installed it on a 2.5 and it was easy as pie.

It comes with step by step pictorial directions easy enough for kindergartners to follow.

I pretty much have never worked on a car before and I had it done in about 45 minutes tops.
