Hey guys.. i got in on the injen GB way back when... lol... anyways... i wasnt happy with the quality of the part, mis-matched paint and that they changed their design after they sold many to us at the forum... (although i sold mine, i am fighting that battle for the rest of you)... I decided to email them to get their take on it...

On their disclaimer page they say all the fancy wording meaning if they change their items... you are SOL... well lets see what a little nudging can do... i emailed them on the 11th (from my corp email) and i have yet to receive a response...

This is what i sent them:"I ordered an Injen for my 2.5 08 altima coupe thru Stillen the DAY IT CAME OUT because in the past I have been pleased with your parts… I ordred it in black and got mis-matched parts (apparently you only thought “some” people should get all black and some should get black/chrome shield)… anyways there have been numerous issues with it, from hood rubs to MAF sensor issues… I just found out you guys apparently changed the part, and I received no notification at all… Im concerned with the level of service I got from Injen, from mis-matching parts, then re-vamping the part and leaving me with a defunct part. I see your “disclaimer” at http://www.injen.com/docs/inje...nding

And although you may be protecting yourself legally, you aren’t protecting yourself financially. Without any sort of refund or sending me a new part, I can honestly say I will never buy an injen intake again, and I would never recommend you to anyone. I am interested to hear your “take” on the situation, and so are my friends who are looking for an intake on their cars….

Concerned,

Brian Gabel"

I did a *@injen search and sent it to several people there... Tomorrow comes the 2nd attack...

What i can tell you about Fujita is that they send you a bottle of nos... (i was supposed to get a duffel bag and a hat too) they didnt include them... a quick email and my duffel bag was sent out 2 days later with another bottle of nos and a $10 refund because they ran out of hats... Thats the service i expect... rather DEMAND from people i buy things from... Stillen (josh kyle margaret) rule!

Ill keep you all posted...

Yeah tell me about it. Injen customer service is embarrasing. When i had all those quality issues with mine (which stillen happily replaced for me), I shot off an e-mail to Injen along with the photo's of the horrible welds and craftsmanship. I recieved an e-mail back saying "We will look into this for you" and that was the end of it.

That was the first (and last), injen product i will ever buy. In fact i'm considering selling it and considering the Stillen version, or waiting for Nismo or something that catches my interest.

Boo on Injen!

I sent them a message the first time I heard about the rubbing and quality issues. I received a message stating it didn't rub on their test car. So I sent a message back with links to the post and pictures and asked if they were going to correct the documented problems. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. This was back a couple of months ago.

Now I have a brand new intake sitting in my house which I'm never going to install and feel bad about trying to pass it off onto someone else.

The rubbing issues are with the 2.5 for the most part (Don't want to speak for 3.5ers). The quality seemed to be hit or miss. Wasn't widespread.

Odd, i got the chrome piece with my black intake as well. I never knew that i was supposed to get a black piece, but honestly i like the chrome. I think it gives the intake good contrast. As far as performance and quality wise, cant say ive had any problems

LBC... I thought we got our intakes right around the same time. Mine has no rubbing issues. It is the new design that they made. I would assume that you had the same one.

Yeah... Ive emailed Injen several times a few months ago, and still no reply. Margaret from Stillen took care of the problem. As far as the quality of the part, its great, but I will never consider another Injen product either.

I ordered mine on the Stillen GB. Ordered black, mine came with black shield. Quality looks fine and I have no fitment issues (3.5). They included a note saying they were out of the promised license plate frames, which is fine since that would've gone straight to the circular file.

Kyle from Stillen came on the forum a couple weeks ago and explained to everyone the deal with the mis-matched colors. Do a search.

I can't really see how the shield is useful anyway, all it could possibly do is provide a barrier to radiant heat and that isn't much of a factor where the filter is located. Unless someone can explain it...

kyle did clean up the matter... they were all supposed to come with chrome... but hearing some people got black made me weep... Stillen rules.. they did nothing wrong... im attacking injen for not standing behind their products and having non-existent customer service... I can only hope people who google injen come across this thread....

I googled "Ron Delgado Injen email" and it popped up on one of the pages. I work in the accounting department for a shipping company and we need companies email addresses regularly for different reasons so they also have access to some website that gives you tons of info on any company including email and phone extensions. If the email comesback undeliverable Ill check that website for you.

Just an FYI I've been hearing a lot in the news lately about companies laying the hurt on employees using their databases for personal gain...not chiding mind you but certainly always better to leave no public record about things (like post it on a forum).

Every company that gets searched on the website comes up on a monthly statement that the CFO gets. Due to the nature of my position I am given free reign while others can only look into customers that have a history with our company or else they get the pink. As for posting on this forum WHILE im at work (like i am right now) im sure thats probably not allowed lol but hey im bored.

I dont know of sites chasing down people except BLOOMBERG. Word on the street is if you pass off their info to a non subscriber, you go directly to jail lol!

I must say... I havent heard a word from injen... not an im sorry, not a we dont care, not anything...but i did get an email from the head of sales at stillen. Telling me he would gladly exchange the part. I am the guy whose always on the hustle getting it off ebay for XX cheaper... But when it comes down to it, you get what you pay for and although im not sure if injen stands behind their product (maybe they told stillen to email me? id doubt it, i think kyle or josh saw)... We can be sure that stillen stands behind theirs, and not only their own parts, but all the parts they sell.
