#1 injector is not working. How can I tell if it is a wiring or injector problem?

Take out the #1 and #2 injectors and swap places. Re-install and fire up the engine.

If you still have a miss on #1, then it's your wiring or something else. If you now have a miss on #2, then it's a bad injector.

If you have a miss on #1 and #2, time to drop in a RB26.

Most likely an injector problem. Swapping them is recommended only if you can manage taking them out without any damage. You can buy a used injector at like $30, so get one and try.

You can check your injector by doing an ohlm test on the injector itself. Pull the wire from the injector and check across the two terminals with a multi meter. It should read between 10-15 ohlms. You can get a very inexpensive multimeter these days,at any auto parts store, if you dont already have one. This is a very simple test and should take about five miniutes.

Good luck with that! If you decide to pull that injector make sure that there is zero fuel presure in the fuel rail before doing so,or you will be dumping raw fuel into your cylinders. Not a good thing. FSM covers the procedure. See FAQ sticky.
