So i ohmed my injectors about a month ago and my #8 was borderline. All others are with in spec. At that time i didnt have the money or the time to deal with it. Well, recently my fuel milage took a dive to about 12!! (I use to get 18 average) Plus the acceleration is not as it use to be, and my low-end sucks (I cannot get it to brakestand). Also, there is a slight studder (only word that comes to mind) when you lightly accel. Now, im sure #8 finaly died. But could something else be wrong? I cleaned and re-ioled my filter with K&N stuff. cleaned my MAF, all electrical connections, and the throttle body. That helped, but its still there. Then i ran some injector cleaner, and some octaine booster with my normal premium techron. she ran a hell of a lot stronger, smoked the tires with ease. After that i filled up every time at 1/2 to 3/4 tank to keep some of the cleaner and booster in there as long as possible. Now she is back to the way she was before the cleaner and booster. Is it all because of #8? Or could there be something else? Thanks for all the help!!!

One normally does a power balance test with ohming injectors looking for correlation.

Not having a perfect idle after warm up is the clue.

Disconnect #1 or #2 injector connection so you will have the feel for what a dead injector does.

When were spark plugs last replaced?

The FSM 10-14 range is not tight enough all injectors should read 12.0 ohms +- 0.5 or if your ohmmeter is iffy they should all read withi +-0.5 ohms of the mean.

Presume you have your Nissan remanufactured transmission ready to install? Better locate a good used differential with a working VLSD while you are at it.

Well.

My #8 went bad. It's what came up after the diagnostic was performed at the shop. I suffered from rough idle and bucking/shuddering under higher than moderate acceleration. (i.e. when passing on the Turnpike). I got the injector replaced and have three more spares.

After the injector was replaced, the idle was so smooth that I thought the engine had turned off. I had become so used to bouncing up and down, that once the problem was fixed, I couldn't believe it.

You're lucky. The #8 is easy to replace. That one as well as the #1 and #2 injectors are able to be accessed without plenum removal.

Hope this helped.
