Ok,

my car ran fine for 10months since the swap. It ran fine all day last friday then when i tried starting it, it wouldnt start...so after pulling my brains out for a week, reading manuals, searching the web, ordering parts...i came to this conclusion...

my injectors ARENT firing...im getting plenty of fuel pressure and my fuel pump DOES work. IM gettting spark (checked with coil pack out and grounded spark plug against engine block) and also it starts with starter fluid...just injectors arent firing...

i have checked all my fuses, relays and wiring its all fine. My throttle position sensor is fine, coil packs fine at .9ohms each, spark plugs perfect and clean, afm working fine, JUST MY DAMN INJECTORS DONT FIRE.

I put a 9v battery and wired it into my injector and i can hear a click when i apply voltage, so all my injectors work....it just seems as the ecu is not providing the power because i do not hear the injectors click when i try starting the car.

Is my ecu fried?? Thats the only thing i can come in conclusion to....this sux...anything else you guys suggest trying before i try to source an ECU??

Thanks

Tony

Dude, that sucks. That's the exact same problem I'm having!!!! I just shot you an email concerning my problem and apparently it's the same as yours, so I guess disregard that. Do you wanna go in half and half on the ECU... that way we'll only be losing half of the cost of one if it doesn't fix it? I contacted Venus, and they quoted me $150 shipped. So that's $75 a piece. If it does fix it we can just order another one and split the cost again. Contact me if you're interested. Hopefully we can help each other out. [email protected] or call me... 405-550-4698.

Have you checked your can alignment sensor? Pull it off, and manually spin it, the injectors should fire and so should the coil packs. Also make sure the exhaust cam dowel pin that lines up with the cam sensor isn't broken.

Check and see if you have spark, that will rule out the CAS.

Do you have power to the injectors?

I'm assuming they do if it starts w/ starter fluid.

You might be assuming wrong...because you have spark and compression, the starter fuild can burn without actual fuel. Does it start AND RUN or just fire up till the starter fuild is gone & die?

Check for power at the injectors.

I just reread what I posted and decided it didn't make since. For some reason I was thinking you wrote coilpacks, I've been looking at several different posts and got them mixed up. Sorry. His problem sounds exactly like mine, and I've got power and ground at my injectors, but no signal.

Check continuity between the injectors and the ECU. In one of these posts I listed the ECU pins & the injector wires are....

Cyl1=101-WhiteCyl2=105-White/GreenCyl3=103-White/RedCyl4=114-White/BlackCyl5=110-White/BlueCyl6=112--Yellow

Should have 2 wires on the injectors if I remember right....

Constant +12V and then the ground is triggered by the ECU. You should not have constant ground for the injectors.

If you guys need an ECU. I have one. Well accually two. One works but the tach output doesn't work on the ECU so you won't have a tach with it. The other one works fine. I'll take 100 for the one that doesn't have a tach output. The other one I want to hold onto incase my PFC fails.

I have a spare RB20 ECU, works great, well did when it was removed a year ago. 100 bucks takes it.
