I dont post much unless I run into a problem where I cant figure it out and need some help. I'm currently installing a Ca18det into and 89 auto hatch with hardly any problems. I have read thru the FAQ and have all of the wiring specs with me. I'm really good at reading the FSM schematics and tracing the wires back making sure everything is good.

My delima for the past 10 hrs.

What works?Got sparkGot fuelCar turns overGrounda are hooked upAll wiring seem to be right.

What doesn't work? everything seems to work except for no fuel entering the combustion chamber. I took a screwdriver to the top of the injector and I heard no ticking. So I began to trouble shoot that first. I have fuel goin and coming out of the fuel rail but not coming out of the injectors. I have not pulled the fuel rail off, but I took off the coilpacks and tried flooding the engine and no fuel was present.

Things I did:

Injectors are getting 2.9ohms to them=goodInjectors to ecu continuity(sp)=goodInjectors to power resistor continuity=good58 ecu pin (red wire) to power resistor=goodPower resistor (red wire to the other 4 pins ohms test=6.2ohmsEGI relay is getting 12v and is working properly

INjectors get 12volts initially and then they drop off to all the way down to 1.3volts.

I'm really stump on this one guys. Can anyone else help me out here. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Danny

Does the cam angle sensor or the CAS have to do anything with the pulsation of the injector?

Any input

Take it out turn the key to the run position and spin it, see if the injectors tick.

Well, thanks for all the feedback guys. It ended up being the plug to the CAS that was the problem. 2 pins where pushed in about 1/8 of an inch and the other 2 pins where opened up like someone stuck a meter into them. WOW........hope everything else goes well on this project180sx.
