I put the Injector light on the injectors and when the engine is turned over it has a random pattern and non consistant light level. The engine doesnt start. Can I assume it is a ground that I am missing or is this related to something else?

The ECU grounds the injectors in order for them to fire FYI.

Although I have not bolted the ecu in I have a ground wire connected to the ECU itself and to the motor which is properly grounded. When I take the ground from the AAC valve the injectors fire properly. When the AAC valve is plugged in the injectors only pulse randomly and each time they pulse the AAC valve "clicks"?.

Is there a ground for one of the dash plugs I'm missing or?

Thanks anyhow, seems people only do s13 swaps and don't have experience related to my project/problems.

I'd start at the CAS! that sends the signal to fire each of those injectors. Theres only one main ground on the injector harness which you can check with a multimeter. If all else fails the ecu is next on the chopping block. Grab a noid light!

Just read your other post. On the injector harness you need 12v constant and 12v pulse signal/ecu then ground wire.
Do you have the wiring diagram for the RB20DET?
