so i had a good long talk with a skilled mechanic today about my car. i mentioned to him that i have a set of denso 555cc injectors waiting to be put in my s14 sr20 and he said that i wont be getting any gains out of it because the stock turbo wont put out enough for injectors of that size. he told me the only way i can put those injectors to use is to get a bigger turbo.i've heard different. anyone know from experience?

You dont need bigger injectors unless your stock injectors are not able to flow enough fuel (even at 90%+ duty cycle) to keep up with whatever the the turbo is flowing (air). Your stock turbo cannot outflow the stock injectors.

If you want more power then you will need more air and more fuel. The "more air" part comes from a bigger turbo, and the more fuel part comes from higher flowing injectors and a standalone EMS.

thats the simple answer.....

Since you have a t28 it would be a good idea if you're going to up the boost. Also I'd install a z32 mafs at the same time along with however you're going to control it(reflash, standalone, piggyback...)

Your turbo can max the 370's in high boost, so that mechanic was not exactly correct.

However, at the levels of boost that it would take to max the injectors out, the t28 is way out of its efficacy range.
