Learned the hard way. Just an FYI for everyone who will ever tackle this job. My 94Q had 2 bad injectors which are the newer style with the oval electrical connectors and the small O ring at the bottom. Do not try to tighten the injectors in using the retaining caps with the 2 screws on either side. The injectors need to be pushed straight in with LOTS of lube and seated prior to tightning the bracket. Otherwiswe you will get what I did, 2 torn lower o rings and a second crack at doing this job.Happy Holidays,Mark in Phoenix

Spray the ring with WD40 and let it sit for a couple hours, then grab/twist with a lot of love and patience.

Hate and patience will also suffice.

Always easier and safer to remove the entire fuel rail [to the work bench] and replace fuel hoses [totally] and FI components as necessary.

I had a long thin pair of needle nose type vice grips. You want to lock on to the injector with just enough force to grab but not break. Move back and forth and use a flat screw driver under the edge of the vice grip and gently pry. When you re assemble, a 1/4 drive 6mm socket will fit perfectly inside the head of the injector. This makes a perfect tool to push the injector straight into the rail.
