So my 91' 240sx KA24DE was missing the other day. All wires were firing. My # 4 injector wasn't. I took the ohms on all four today and got the following: #1 (38.7), #2 (10.9), #3 (10.7), #4 was an erratic reading ranging from 8.10-9.00 and everywhere in between. I'm confused because #1 was firing when it was missing but the ohms are way too high. My only plan is to replace #4 and go from there since it was the one that wasn't firing........

Find out why #4 isn't firing, replacing won't solve your problem if there is nothing wrong with the injector

replace your 1 and 4 injectors with good ones... high of low readings are no good... one is leaking and one is clogged...

my friends was 26ohms on number 2 and 9ohms on number 4... the idle was shaky and looked like it was missing, so we put two new ones in 2 and 4 and she ran like a beauty...

Ok I went to my local Pull-A-Part where injectors are $6. I took a multimeter with me and and found an Altima and a 240...KA24DE's. I pulled 5 injectors....2 of which read 11 ohms....3 read 10.8. I replaced my #1 and #4 with the two that read 11 ohms. Started it, let it idle, and took it for a 5 mile drive...got on it a few times. Runs good. Didn't miss. Fingers crossed...

My idle is a tad lower than usual now 650-700...something like that. At one point yesterday it was dead at 500. Advance the distributor to compensate or some other problem? Also, somebody told me not to use injector/fuel system cleaner because of the tank. I have used Lucas fuel system cleaner in my last 2 cars (not 240's) when I did oil changes. Is this true or am I good to use it?

were you able to get your car fixed? my number two cylinder is running lean cus the spark plug is white and the injector reads about 7 ohms. and 1,3,4 read right about 1.5 ohms. so you think that just replacing the 7 ohm injector will fix the shakes.

KA injectors are supposed to read right around 11 ohms to my understanding. If your injectors are reading 7 and 1.5 then I would just replace all the injectors. Mine are firing just fine now and read 11, 10.9, 10.7, and 11. It feels a bit underpowered and the valves tick pretty bad. I looked in my new Chilton (aka..Bible) and it says that the rocker clearance should be checked every 15k miles and if they are too far out of spec they will tick and won't open all the way due to the cam wasting some lift just to touch the valve. My valve cover is a tad drippy so I'm going speck out the head in the next few days and put a new gasket on.
