how hard is it to replace stock injectors?? all that has to be done is the upper intake plenum has to come off and the fuel rail should be right there no??

obviously ill have to drain the fuel system by pulling the fuel pump fuse and cranking the car until it dies (duh lol) and then replace the gasket between the upper and lower plenum... but honestly thats all there is to it right??? why pay for labor??

just make sure you stuff soem rags down in the lower plenum... its pretty easy to drop something down there and then it sa Pain to get out ....the only thign is grab a length of either coolant hose or fuel hose... whichever because unless you deletes the coolants lines underneath the plenum chances are that they are old and corroded and will have to be cut to get the plenum off

yeah i just searched the forums seems there is alot to do under the plenum... bit it should be easier for me B/c i have no EGR, Carbon canister or any of the emissions systems

that being said....is it possible to pull the plenum w/o pulling the motor?? seeing as how once the fuel lines are off i dont have to mess with the EGR or anything

It's absolutely possible. The hardest part is going to be getting the coolant hoses all disconnected so you can lift the plenum up. Look into the TB coolant bypass if you haven't already - definitely knock that out while you're in there. Upper plenum comes right off once you get the coolant lines disconnected or cut off.

Make sure you get the insulators for the injectors also - they often get overlooked when ordering parts. They are the rubber pieces that sit on the lower plenum. They break down over time just like any other rubber part

The job can be done without pulling the plenum and timing component removal, via the dremel method where some plenum material is removed to ease the injector removal and replacement.
A link to that method:

Also, here's the normal method of removing everything:

Good Luck!

well i found out last night that the EGR and AIV have been deleted, also the coolant lines already have been bypassed,so all i should have to do is disconnect the fuel lines and wiring harness and un-bolt the plenum and Ta-Daa!!

Biggs can i order them from Z1?? or CZP?? i looked and couldnt find them
