I'm pretty sure they are 270cc.

Edit: Just noticed it is a hardbody, darn my S-chassis bias.

Trucks used ka24e's through 1997. 96 and 97 models only had the ka24e because the vg30e could not meet emissions standards. 96, 97, and maybe some 95's had the steel backed timing chain guides stock, which don't break down into the oil like earlier models do. Also, the last few years (96, 97 and some 95's) had sidefeed injectors.

I always assume S-chassis, just noticed it was a hardbody, sorry.

i dont know if the color of the top of the injector has to do with anything. the stock injectors from my truck are red. i also have a fuel rail off a newer d21 and the injectors are side feed and they are green. 270cc does sound about right though. i heard alot about upgrading to 370cc

yeah the newer ones are side feed injectors. i also got the updated timing chain kit when i was doing my timing chain so it has the metal backed chain guides.

I know that one of our members didn't max out his stock 270cc injectors until 162whp/6500rpm. That was a naturally aspirated ka24de in a 240sx with stock internals. There is a pretty recent thread dealing with this, actually.

yeah. after about 6500rpm ka's drop power. i wonder if you got a upgraded fuel system, and ecu so you can mod a/f ratio you could fix that :shifter:

Or you could just drop the ka24 in a lake somewhere and get an s2000 engine.
