Can you run 370cc injectors with just an fmu? Just a thought.

I thought you can do sr20 swaps in 2 days.

No you cant run bigger injectors with an FMU. Im interested to see why you thought that though.

An FMU is only used with stock injectors, A FMU is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, it increases fuel pressure a certain amount per psi of boost. Usually 10/1 is the disk used.

The 370's need some kind of managment to have the duty cylce reduced for off boost driving. Like the SAFC or Emanage. The FMU is never used with larger injectors.

You did have a thread stating you were going to build cars with turbo's and sell them. Such as the SR20 swap you mentioned. You may want to consider removing that thread zerothread?id=108218 if your going to ask basic questions like this. Just a thought.

I dont do the motor swaps on my on. I run a business and my mechanics do the swaps. A friend of mine had asked me if he could set his safc to -25 and run an fmu with 370 injectors. I didnt know the answer to that so I posted it. Sorry for sounding stupid!

No worries man, Your buddies best bet to get more out of his 370's would be to raise the base fuel pressure to 55 or so and then lower his duty cycle with the SAFC. Cause the SAFC and the FMU won't work in a linear fashion together.

Quote » The FMU is never used with larger injectors.[/quote]dont mean to to nitpick, but thats not necessarily true. you can use a fmu to get more out of your already upgraded injectors just like you use it to get more out of the stockers. people used to it a lot to get a better idle with big injectors and still make big power. however, i do agree that most dont make enough power to warrant a fmu on top of bigger injectors

Read the post I made above yours. That is the correct way to get more power out, not a FMU. Anyone making decent power will be running over 20lbs of boost. You don't want a FMU if your running that much boost.

You add an adjustable regulator and add base fuel pressure. The FMU method sounds like a backyard Honda thing to me.
