I just recieved six injectors from a TT 300zx. Will these injectors work on the ka engines? And if they do, do I have to upgrade any other components?

just plug 'em in. You'll need an airflow converter, i.e. AFC, E-Manage

The later of the injectors will slide right in. I believe anything 95 and after. I believe the ealier injectors were top feed. I may be wrong though.

IIRC the 90 and later VG30DETT's came with side feed 370's which are a direct swap, I'd change the orings and use lots of pet when you install them.

You'll need the SAF or similar to trim the duty cycle off off boost and at idle though, like already said.

I looked around for awhile...didn't turn anything up. Anyidea what part of the injector didn't fit?

The two injectors are physically different... they also require two different sets of 0-rings and insulators. On the Z's the later injectors used a different fuel rail thats incompatable with the earlier injectors. The connectors are also different between the two styles.

You should make it a point to get the 95-96 injectors.

All years are sidefeed, here is a picture of the 90-94 Injectors.

And now the 95-96 Injectors (which are the same as SR, KA, etc.)

just wanna add that the change occurred during the 94 model year. so early 94 injectors wont work, but the later ones will.To be safe, stick with the 95-96 injectors

WERD!

I recieved my injectors from a private owner yesterday. He accidentally sent me five, which led me to believe they were 300zx injectors(he said they were sr injectors). Today, he let me know that they were in fact 300zx injectors.. But he didn't mention which year.

Anyway, my 300zx injectors are red, like the ones pictured. I'm a happy camper again.

Red + Late Model = 740cc Injectors

OR

Red + Late Model = 270cc Injectors

I'd send one to RC in Dallas to have it flow tested bro... you might have 270s :-/

BTW, you can use 95-96 O-Rings on the injectors, or you can use KA O-Rings, should be the same part numbers. The earlier injectors use two of the upper O-Rings.

Which cars had red 740, and 270 injectors?

Anyway, it might be a good idea to have them checked out. Does rc charge very much to test them?

I'm planning on putting them in with a hacked maf in a little while. If it runs fine, then they must be 370's right?..

Thanks for your input anyway.

KA24DE's, SR20DE's, VG30DE's (94+) all had the red 270cc injectors.

I hope you don't have 270's...

RC tests the injectors for pretty cheap.

740's are all aftermarket.
